The World Trade Center Kochi in association organized a talk on “Future of Mobility – Challenges and Opportunities”. The talk conducted at WTC Seminar hall discussed subjects like Electric cars, Autonomous vehicles, E-mobility and its scope in India. There were participants at the programme representing – IT, manufacturing, automobiles, consultants, education and startups. Dr. Roshy John, Global Head - Robotics & Cognitive Systems, Tata Consultancy Services and Mr. Bavil Varghese, Chief Executive Officer, C- Electric Automotive Drives were the Speakers. The programme was done jointly with NASSCOM and IDFC First Bank Dr. Roshy who is a pioneer in the field of autonomous vehicles in India gave an interactive presentation that detailed the evolution of mobility from conventional transport modes, shared mobility, electric cars, autonomous vehicles and flying cars. During his talk Dr. Roshy recounted his experiences while developing autonomous cars developed for Indian roads. Mr. Bavil Varghese who is an expert in the field of IoT and motor drives gave a detailed presentation of the future of electric cars in India. He urged Indian startups to manufacture electric and autonomous vehicles that will suit conditions in India.
