The World Trade Center Kochi organized a seminar that discussed Cross border taxation, Transfer pricing and aspects of FEMA at the Four points by Sheraton, Infopark. BDO India LLP and the Indo American Chamber of Commerce were the partners for this event. The programme was attended by representatives from sectors like – IT, food processing, manufacturing, consultants, finance, logistics and travel.   Mr. Raghunathan Parthasarathy, Associate Partner - Tax & Regulatory Services, BDO India LLP was the Speaker at the event. Mr. Raghunathan spoke about taxation of foreign payments, transfer pricing reporting, model and external commercial borrowing. He elaborated on the various processes to avoid double taxation. He also listed the various challenges while claiming foreign tax credit. He explained the procedure for indirect transfer of asset reporting. Penalties applicable for non-compliance with transfer pricing provisions were also discussed. Earlier, Mr. Vivek George, Manager, WTC Kochi delivered the welcome address; Mr. Sajiv K. Menon, Chairman, IACC gave the opening remarks; Mr. Sandeep Raj proposed the Vote of Thanks.
