The World Trade Center Kochi organized a seminar on “Investment Opportunities in the State of Pennsylvania, USA”. The programme was conducted at the Four Points by Sheraton at Infopark and was attended by representatives from IT, Food Processing, Manufacturing, Consultancies, Healthcare and Start-ups. The programme was done together with the Indo American Chamber of Commerce and it also had participation from IACC Senior Council members. Ms. Supriya Kanetkar, Associate Director, Pennsylvania India Office and Mr. Minu Desai, Welcome Hotel Group, PA, USA were the speakers. Ms. Supriya Kanetkar made a presentation on the history of the State of Pennsylvania, its economy, infrastructure, prominent industries and companies present in Pennsylvania. Mr. Minu Desai spoke about the H1B Visas and procedures to get a USA Green Card. He also touched upon the regulations and mandates required for businesses to set up their operations in Pennsylvania. This was followed by an interactive session where the Speakers clarified the queries of the participants. Considering the request from the participants, a couple of B2B meetings with the speakers were arranged after the programme. Mr. P. Ravindranath, Chairman, IACC delivered the Welcome address, Mr. Vivek George, Deputy Manager, WTC Kochi introduced the guests and Ms. Sujatha Sunil, Executive Secretary, IACC proposed the Vote of Thanks. Ms. Sujatha Ravisankar, Regional Head, IACC also spoke.
