GDPR is the new data protection & privacy law comes into effect across the European Union on May 25, 2018. Any organization that holds or uses data on people inside the EU is subject to the new rules. GDPR does not apply only to companies directly dealing with EU but also to those units who run support centres here and have customers/clients there. With the objective to create more awareness among companies in Kerala as to what GDPR’s impact would be on their businesses, WTC Kochi organized a seminar on GDPR. This was held on 24th May 2018 at Holiday Inn Kochi. FICCI was the industry partner for this seminar. Speakers: Mr Praveen Sasidharan, Partner Risk Advisory, Deloitte India Mr Sukiraman Manivannan, Deputy Manager - Risk Advisory Team, Deloitte India Mr Vivek George, Deputy Manager WTCK delivered the welcome address and Mr Savio Mathew Head, FICCI Kerala State Council introduced the speakers. Mr Jofin Joseph, Head-Operations, Full Contact India handed over the mementoes to the speakers. There was participation from IT, Shipping and Logistics, Services and Medical industries.
