The World Trade Center joined with GTech (Group of Technology Companies), on 28th August 2018, to organise a meeting of Infopark Companies to discuss and plan the rehabilitation of flood-affected people in Kerala. This was part of GTech's initiative to pool in efforts of IT community for the larger cause of relief and rehabilitation. The meeting was chaired by Mr Dinesh Thambi, Kerala Head of TCS. Mr Joseph Korah of Cognizant Technologies also spoke. It was attended by decision makers of various IT companies in Kochi. The meeting started off with the rescue and relief activities done by GTech and its member companies. Later on, there were some serious discussions on the projects/action plan proposed by GTech. It was said that GTech has pledged INR 25 crores for Kerala and this will be mainly used for rehabilitation work. Individual companies are already engaged in several initiatives and these were also shared at the meeting. There was also a parallel session happening at Technopark for Thiruvananthapuram companies. GTech thanked WTC Kochi, for the support extended.
