The World Trade Center jointly with the National Institute of Personnel Management (NIPM) organized a panel discussion on “Tech Transformations in HR”. The programme was conducted at the Seminar Hall, WTC Kochi. Mr Mitesh Lashkari, HR-Systems-UST Global; Ms Sabeena Shaji, Deputy VP, HR-Federal Bank Ltd and Mr Shilen Sagunan, CEO-S S Consulting were the panellists. Mr Anish Aravind, Hon. Secretary, NIPM Kerala Chapter was the moderator of the discussion. The panel initiated the discussion by listing the technology trends happening in HR. The panellists predicted 2019 to be a year of more transformative development and increasingly disruptive technology advancements. They were of the opinion that HR professionals need to be on the lookout for the latest trends and adapt them quickly to keep their companies at the forefront of innovation. The panel also discussed the future role of automation (RPA) taking charge of this function and the role of machine learning technology. There was also serious discussion on how blockchain can be leveraged for recruitments and HR appraisal processes. Mr Vivek George, Deputy Manager, WTC Kochi delivered the welcome address and Mr Sandeep Raj, Coordinator, WTC Kochi proposed the vote of thanks. The audience included HR Professionals representing Manufacturing, Hospitality, Academia, IT, Retail and Start-Ups.
