The World Trade Center Kochi partnered with NITCAA (NIT Calicut Alumni Association) for an Entrepreneur Series. The first session in this series was held at the RECCAA Club, Kakkanad. Other event partners are - NASSCOM, GTech, KSUM and TiE Kerala. Dr. Vinod A Prasad, Professor & Dean, Industry collaboration and Sponsored Research, IIT Palakkad spoke on the topic "Human Brain to Machine Interfacing". In his talk, he elaborated the concept of Brain-Machine Interface (BMI) systems that enables a machine to react in accordance with the Brain’s Stimuli. He gave various uses of BMI like – To help in prosthetics for the differently abled, Biometric Identification using Brain waves etc. Mr. Prashanth Pillai, Co-Founder, Toffee Ride introduced his start-up –Toffee Ride which is a learning app targeted at primary and preschool students. Mr. Dani Thomas, Project Director, DMRC shared his experiences working at Kochi Metro. Mr. Noufal, an entrepreneur and NIT Alumnus moderated the session. Mr. Dani gave the attendees an overview of the project, the challenges he had faced and technical details of the project including timeline. Earlier, Mr. Thankachan Thomas, President, NITCAA delivered the Welcome address; Mr. Shilen Sagunan, Founder, S.S. Consulting made the opening remarks; Mr. Jijo Paul, CEO, UVJ Technologies introduced the speakers; Mr. Sameer Abdul Azis proposed the vote of thanks.
