The Directorate General of Foreign Trade, on 5th December 2017, released the mid-term review of the Foreign Trade Policy 2015-2020 (FTP), with the focus expected to be on policy measures to boost the exports and to increase employment generation. In this regard, the World Trade Center(WTC) Kochi in association with Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industries (FICCI) and Ernst & Young Associates LLP, organized a Seminar on Mid-Term Review of Foreign Trade Policy & Opportunities for EXIM Community. Mr.R.Muthuraj ITS, Joint Director General of Foreign Trade, Mr.Sumit Kumar IRS, Commissioner Customs, Kochi & Mr.Alok Chandna, Director, Ernst and Young LLP spoke on the subject & gave their insights on the subject. The session was intended to guide both merchandise and service exporters and importers, including units located in SEZs, EOUs etc. There was also an open house arranged for EXIM community to interact with the officials. Dr.Bose K.Nair, Vice President WTC delivered the welcome address and Mr.Savio Mathew, FICCI proposed the vote of thanks.
