The World Trade Center Kochi, on 21st March 2018, conducted an interactive session on Machine Learning and Deep Learning as part of our Technology Talk series. Machine learning is a field of computer science that gives computer systems the ability to "learn" with data, without being explicitly programmed. Mr.Praseed Pai, Sr.Solutions Architech, UST Global was the speaker. Mr. Pai during his talk said that Artificial Intelligence particularly Machine Learning is widely considered to be a key discipline which can dictate the future of the IT and Software Services Industry. Companies are investing in the domain in form of technology adoption, people, Infrastructure, process and the practice level. He spoke about the discipline from an Algorithmic/Formal system angle and touched upon System Engineering, Consulting and Practice management in machine learning. He also explained how Actionable Intelligence can be gained by analysing the data when handcrafted algorithms fail. The session witnessed participation from tech enthusiasts as well as CTO’s and CEO’s of IT companies in Kochi.
