We partnered with Indian Institute of Materials Management (IIMM) to organize a webinar ‘How To Build and Focus On Your Career’. Mr. Ramanathan Subramaniam, General Manager, IT, John Distilleries Ltd. was the speaker. Mr. Subramaniam spoke about the changing nature of the workforce and companies. The hiring process now revolves around a process of engage and exit rather than the earlier approach of hiring an employee who stuck with the same company for a very long time. He also observed that majority of the young graduates are less focused and are not sure of their ambitions. The retirement age is coming down from 60 to 40s. He also urged the participants to clearly perform a SWOT analysis of any given situation. This was also an opportunity for the participants to clear their queries.
