WTC Kochi, with the objective to provide an overview of the new European Union regulation, which takes effect on 25 May 2018, organised a session on GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation). The session was intended to create more awareness among Companies in Kerala as to what GDPR’s impact would be on their businesses. GDPR applies to any businesses dealing with the EU. This new regulation is to not merely protect information but also to authenticate legitimate users. Mr.Mayuran Palanisamy, Director-IT Advisory KPMG, Chennai was the Speaker. He was accompanied by Mr.Anoop Job, Associate Director-IT Advisory KPMG Kochi. The programme happened on the 19th December 2017 at WTC Kochi. The session was attended by top management of Companies in and around Kochi and they were also able to clarify their queries with the Speaker.
