The World Trade Center in association with GTech organized an interactive session with Mr. Thomas Joseph, Founder & Director, Mapp Law Chambers on “Business Opportunities in Barcelona”. The programme held at the Seminar hall - World Trade Center Kochi, discussed the possibilities of doing business in Barcelona, the process of setting it up and the Spanish economy in general. There were participants from sectors such as – IT, Manufacturing, Consultancies, Healthcare, Food processing and startups. Mr. Thomas Joseph in his talk said that Barcelona is a unique and ideal Business hub due to its connectivity with the rest of the EU as well as excellent infrastructure. He added that Catalonia has been identified as the best place for investments by the Financial Times with Spain’s 20% GDP being contributed from this region. He mentioned the ‘Mobile World Congress’ held annually at Barcelona and also briefed the participants on other initiatives such as ‘Barcelona & Catalonia Startup Hub’ and the ‘Barcelona Tech City’. The session was followed by a Q&A session where participants were able to clear their queries with the Speaker.
