Our annual "Post-Budget Talk" of the Union Budget 2025-26 was held virtually. The event brought together a distinguished panel of speakers who provided valuable insights on the budget’s impact on the economy, businesses, and individuals.

We were honored to have Mr.Homi P. Ranina, a renowned Tax Expert and Senior Lawyer at the Supreme Court of India, as our keynote speaker. Mr. Ranina's insightful address explored the budget proposals in-depth, highlighting their potential effects on various sectors, with a particular focus on their implications for taxation and economic growth. His expertise set the stage for a comprehensive analysis of the budget, offering attendees a nuanced understanding of the proposed changes.

Following Mr. Ranina’s address, the discussion was enriched by Mr.Brijesh Kothary, Partner(indirect tax) and Mr.Chitrartha Gupta-Sr.Associate from Khaitan & Co., who shared their expertise on the budget’s indirect tax proposals. Their session examined the key aspects of the budget’s provisions related to GST and other indirect taxes, explaining how these changes will shape the business landscape moving forward. Their valuable insights helped attendees navigate the complexities of indirect taxation and better understand how businesses can adapt to the new regulatory environment.
